Ghostly figures at West Whitting BeachOne of my first attempts at long exposure photography, this was a 15 second exposure with a set of ND filters. Was quite happy when in my first year of club competitions this was awarded PDI of the year.
Foggy Morning at Redbridge Wharf, Southampton WaterOne of my early shots, taken one November morning. Just loved the way the container gantries appeared out of the mist. This image has done well in competition and was the first picture that I sold as a framed, mounted unit from an exhibition.

Sunrise over the SolentTaken early on morning from Calshot beach in Hampshire, saw the sun rising, saw the Red Funnel ferry from Southampton to Cowes approaching. Apart from a slight crop there has been very little post production editing on this, it is virtually straight out of the camera.
Small waterfall on the River ItchenA wander along the river Itchen as it meandered through Brambridge on a wet morning when the rain was stop start. Saw this small waterfall and felt it had something about it.
Southampton "the old & the new"This shot shows part of the old medieval city walls in stark contrast to the new shopping centre extension. The old walls were at one point the edge of the city with the water lapping at their edge, over time the land has been reclaimed to make Southampton the city it is now.
Dawn over the SolentTaken at Lepe Beach with the dolphins in the fore ground, looking towards the Isle of Wight. This was several bracketed shots of different exposure lengths and then blended together in Lightroom. This is one of my favourites.
